About comfort

What do human beings need to be comfortable? I believe, we need everything to be in its right place to be comfortable. This is why as the days go by, it gets more and more difficult for us to be comfortable. As it is very difficult for everything to be in its right place- now, more than ever. Now is always the most difficult as it is the only thing that really matters. Which also means it should be so from this moment to another. Constantly.
With every passing moment, we have increased our need, greed, anger, attachment, whatchyamacalits, and hence, each new moment it is tougher to be comfortable than the moment that just passed. Because, one must be and do.
But alas! We let many moments pass in our hoarding up the things we need or may need or might have needed (more on this).
Now that this happened, should we give up? No.
What we can instead do, is assess the situation a little bit. Assessment is very important and one should gladly give a few moments to that task.
Unfortunately, if you are not going to produce something that will outlast you, then you only have this one chance. At some point, you have to get comfortable so that everything is in its right place. Always.

Assessment

-- What matters more to your comfort: (a) nature (b) manmade stuff (c) neither (d) both

If you said (a), there is some very bad news for you. Through the ages, we have engaged in a constant war against nature. I would say it has been going very well for us, as nature is one opponent, who doesn't actively engage in wars. So this can go on for some more ages, and if anything, nature will outlive us. However, it may be what you can call, hostile, to us for the remaining period of time. Feeling hotter than ever is a very small part of this, so if you experience discomfort in hot weather, kindly quit assessment stage at this point, because it's not worth your time.
If you said (b), there is good news for you. Those of us who are engaged in creating something that will outlast us have done a good job. We have created many things worth living and dying for. There will always be something you can pick from this bounty of (b) that will keep us going forever.
If you said (c), that is just fantastic, because that means you are very close to getting comfortable.
If you said (d), I congratulate you, as utopia does exist.
