If your ideology to begin with is wrong, definitely you will get a leader who is horribly wrong. So to say that Modi was the undoing of BJP maybe placing too much importance on Modi. The fact is BJP originated only because there were some who believed it is better to be a slave of the other than be an equal with your own.
So from the very beginning we had this set of aspirants, who thought nothing that is Indian can be worth pursuing, run away from everything that is yours, for what is yours is likely to hold you back.

Nature

I have this proposition to make:
You have viewed nature from the perspective of fear,
you have viewed nature from the perspective of awe,
you have viewed nature from the perspective of love,
you have viewed nature from the perspective of curiosity,
you have viewed nature from the perspective of knowledge,
you have viewed nature from the perspective of religion,
you have viewed nature as something outside of you,
you have viewed nature in terms of something you possess.
I am unable to view nature 
Because I am so much a part of it,
You come and tell me of what you have viewed.
And when I see it,
just glimpses of it,
I feel I am the mind of nature.
That's who I am.
