Counter

I just read an article that says posits as an argument against AI: The artist's ego is too important in the work of creation and needs to guarded.

But I have a fundamental problem with this view point -- an artist, according to me, is the most egoless being that a human can ever be.

An artist understands the basic humanness in all of us, they are everyone and everyone is in them when they create. They are the world. They can create only when they succeed in the complete dissolution of the ego.

It is the egoism of creation that has given birth to this monstrosity called AI.

This is not a clash of philosophies -- East vs West (and all other nonsensical labels). The best of artists from the East and the West have always been the most universal of their likes.
