Advaniji

I saw a documentary yesterday in which a scholar from Israel, says he cannot sleep at night because he does not know what kind of world he can prepare his grandson for. And he keeps worrying about that.
I wonder if in India anybody is actually doing that. Losing sleep over what world can they prepare their grandkids for.
We have become so in-the-moment that it makes me cringe.
Just before or around December 6, we keep telling each other we must feel guilty about what we have done, or ashamed.
Nobody from that time, who was an adult then and did not participate in the act, tells us that it is they who were guilty. They do not ask us for forgiveness. They keep telling us we should feel guilty, for a crime we refuse to have anything to do with.
Maybe we can forgive,
if you would just bloody trust us and ask us for our forgiveness once.
I write to all of you who have grandkids.
Please lose some sleep.
And think about them when you are not sleeping.

As for the ones who were adults then and did participate in the act - at least they are not busy asking us to feel guilty about it. Because they sure know what is feeling guilty by now.
Look at poor poor Advaniji.
